FAQs: 2019 Virtual Storyteller Summer Camp

Hi guys! I hope you're having a great week. It's great to be back after some time off. This past weekend was Father’s Day weekend, and I hope everyone who celebrated had a fantastic Father's Day. Something else that happened this weekend: I got a lot of comments and questions about the virtual Storyteller Summer Camp I’ve been advertising. Thank you guys so much! I'm so glad so many people are interested in it.

I got some really great questions, and decided to compile all the answers here in a handy virtual Storyteller Summer Camp FAQ post.

Question 1: Who is this for?

The 2019 virtual Storyteller Summer Camp is for entrepreneurs who are stuck, who want to increase their revenue, and reach more of the right clients who need their products and services, and they want to learn how to master their story, to stop holding back, and to stop playing small.

I’m talking to you guys out there with successful offers, you understand how to sell & market those offers, and how to connect with you audience, but maybe you guys are just feeling a little stuck. Maybe you feel like you're not reaching as many people as you would like to, or that your new offers are for a slightly different demographic or  an expanded demographic from who you work with now. Maybe you're stuck with your revenue and you're not understanding why you're not bringing in new people or selling new offers.

From what research has shown, and from what I’ve found anecdotally, this often happens when the connection you're making with your story is not going as deep as you would like.  People can relate to you, but they’re not compelled to spend money with you, or to spend more money. This is a huge challenge for so many entrepreneurs, and it doesn’t have to be if you can learn how to master your story

Question 2: Why are you doing a virtual summer camp?

I remember a conversation I had with a friend of mine who sent her kids to Sleepaway Summer Camp every summer. I asked her: “Why do you send your kids away all summer every year? Aren’t you sad that they’re gone?”

I'll never forget what she said; she told me the things they got from summer camp were a sense of community, they built lasting relationships, and every year they tried something new that challenged them and that they didn't think they would be able to do. Not only were they able to do learn new skills, they became masters. She knew she could help them grow by giving them an immersive experience each summer that would challenge them as individuals and as part of a community. That is exactly the environment and community I want to create for entrepreneurs, and that's why I created the virtual Storyteller Summer Camp.

Question 3: What do I get when I sign up for Storyteller Summer Camp?

Question 4:  Why are you only taking a few people in each session?

Ultimately, my goal is to reach tens of thousands of entrepreneurs to teach them to get unstuck and stop Story Hoarding so they can grow their revenue and connect with the people they are meant to serve.

For Summer Camp, I want to create a small intimate group, that can become a community, where we can focus and work together to solve their story hoarding challenges and grow their revenue in just 4 weeks. I've decided to create two sessions so that twice as many people can participate. When you register you can choose from the July 8th — August 2nd session or the August 5th — August 30th session. There are a total of 10 spots in each session.

Question 5:  I'm not sure what story hoarding is or if summer camp is for me. How can I learn more?

Story Hoarding is a big concept and I don't hear a lot of people talking about it, that's why I'm writing a book about it and why I created this summer camp! Story Hoarding is holding back an emotional and deeply personal part of your story that is also a part of your WHY. Story Hoarding prevents you from making deep connections with your prospective or current clients and is often why business growth flat lines.

During summer camp we're going to be diving deep into your story one-on-one, workshopping your story in groups, working to clear the blocks that prevent you from fully sharing your story and creating a plan to make the deep connections that grow and sustain your business.
